Nebraska Rare-Earth Drill Results Expand the Rift Project’s Trinity Zone

New drilling results have extended the interpreted rare-earth mineralized zone at the Rift project in southeastern Nebraska. A September 8 release reported that hole RIFT26-019 returned a 197.5-metre interval averaging 2.12% total rare-earth oxides, including higher-grade sections. The company said the result extends the Trinity Zone approximately 120 metres farther down dip.

Additional holes on the southern drill fence also returned mineralized intervals, while assays from further western step-outs remain pending. The company described the zone as open in multiple directions and said it remains on schedule to target an inaugural mineral resource estimate in the first quarter of 2027. That target is forward-looking and depends on the remaining technical work.

The results matter to the magnet supply chain only as an early upstream signal. Total rare-earth oxide grade does not by itself show the proportion of neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium or terbium, and it does not establish whether those elements can be recovered economically into magnet-grade products. Mineralogy, metallurgy, recovery rates, impurities, permitting and project financing will determine whether the discovery can support future downstream production.

Manufacturers and buyers should follow the planned resource estimate together with future element-distribution and process-test results. Until those data are available, the project should be viewed as an exploration-stage opportunity rather than an alternative source of qualified permanent-magnet material.
